Subject: You’re a flippin’ idiot

Good morning my dear, naive friend,

I hope you’re enjoying a breakfast of regret and sorrow.

Why?

Because you sent me to work for Dean Harper, aka a control freak in a tailor-made suit. Sure he owns the trendiest restaurants in NYC, but c'mon Jo, his ego makes Kanye West look like the Dalai Lama.

He's the type of guy that only hears the word “no” when it's followed by “don’t stop.”

Working for Dean Harper would be like selling my soul to the devil…and before you say anything, I don’t care if the devil has punch-you-in-the-gut brown eyes and an ass to match. My soul isn’t for sale.

Love,
Regretfully yours,
Lily

The Allure of Dean Harper is a full-length standalone romance with overlapping characters from The Allure of Julian Lefray. Both books can be read separately. Chronologically, The Allure of Julian Lefray happens first.
**This book is rated 18+ for explicit sexual situations and language. Reader discretion is advised.**

What I Thought:

I knew from the moment Dean and Lily met, this book was going to be amazing. Not only were they blatantly antagonistic towards one another from the get go, but it was actually really entertaining trying to see them one-up each other through out most of the book. It provided me with a lot of chuckles and full laughter too. You see, both Lily and Dean have very strong personalities and opinions. Dean is used to being in control at all times and he even micro manages, which means he's happy but Lily isn't. While Lily might be a decade younger than Dean, she's well educated and aware of how to make a restaurant successful and she's not afraid to tell Dean when he's making a mistake.

To make things even more difficult, their personal lives are as intertwined as their professional ones. It doesn't help their respective best friends are romantically involved with each other, making it imperative they get along. With everything they've got going on, I loved seeing them transition from adversaries to lovers. I knew when they finally let go and gave in to the attraction between them, it would be wonderful, and it was. Even once they managed to get together, their personalities softened while still showed through their new dynamic. I really loved how they were unable to stay away from one another.

I get abnormally excited when I find out R.S. Grey is releasing a new book. There's just something about her stories that I love. It's the humor, the blistering chemistry between her characters, and the yearning for more when I'm finished reading.  It's the fact they're impossible to put down, even if you decide to start reading at around 1 AM just because you're so excited it's finally available. It's not just all of the above. If you've read any of her books you'll agree with me; they remind me of the wonderful rom-coms film that used to be made and ones I loved watching. I miss those so much, but R.S. Grey's books mean I get those same wonderful stories in the best way possible; a book.

About the Author
I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
